I'm surprised no one has commented on this one. I like it. That door makes me want to pose a model next to it, but that bystander lady did a pretty good job. Too bad her top wasn't just a little more of a contrast to the door, but her handbag sure works well.

What are these doors to? The scale here is very interesting, and the colors are nice. The glint from her shiny sandal is a bit distracting considering the depth of the shadows at her feet -- but that's a nitpick. Has this been cropped or is it SOOC? Can you crop out the "seven" and add more to the left?

I see no way to improve on it. It is a great picture. Nice shot.

The size of the doors so overwhelm the girl that she looks like an incidental toy. Cannot tell for sure but I think she is a woman because of her bag but she ends up looking like a little girl.
Her bag blends in with the hinge,
The photo messes with my mind because the elements are great but it somehow doesn't work for me.

Great subject, and great shot, but I find myself wondering--just for grins--what it
would look like (with or without a model) to have the walls in a sort of "old time"
sepia tone, while the doors remain their original blue. Certainly not to replace
this shot, but just to see the "effect".

Re: The Girl and the Blue Door

I love this! I don't see anything here that I would do differently. The blue color emphasizes even more the contrast between the size of the door and the girl. I was also drawn to the No. 7 at the top right. It really adds something to the image.........gives it more of a story (in my mind). Looking to find her way, she gets lost in the "big" door - and misses the number she is looking for at the top.

    Don't mind me - I have a good imagination.

Thanks for posting -- I really enjoyed looking.

Tuna, love this- the colors really complement each other and pop without any one competing for attention... that said, the tight crop up top does compete for my attention. Gorgeous, though.

Love it. Am tempted to say that I'd like to see a version with more room at the top, just to see what it looks like. But whatever.
