New member help needed: EOS 350D wont put date on images

    Hello everyone,
Would someone be able to help with this problem? The date and time are set correctly, it will not appear on the image.

    Thanks,
    DJ

Welcome to the Forum. The date is recorded in the EXIF data of the print, but it does not appear on the print. I took a quick look through the manual for the 350D. From what I can tell you can set it up so the date is printed on the photo if you are printing at home, but it's a setting you need to turn on during the printing process. Check out the printing options starting around page 124 of the manual.

If you want to see the date stamp on the photo before printing, my guess is you will need to add it manually using a photo editing program like Photoshop. I don't believe it is an option you can set in the camera.

Even if it is an option, you are better off not having it. There are times when the date may show up right where you do not want it. When adding it during processing, you have total control regarding font and location.

MN Shutterbug is right. Even if you do find a way to add it in the camera, I wouldn't. One of the easiest ways to improve a photos is to not have a date stamp on it.
