    EOS 7D Service Notice

Canon has release a Product Advisory for the 7D regarding traces of images overlapping or appearing in subsequent frames in continuous shooting.

A pending firmware update is being explored to fix this according to the note from Canon.

    See Canon notice at:

    http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/co...=2112&id=60427

Looks like they may have pushed the sensors framing rate a little to close to the edge of the recycle time!

Thanks for posting. I'm writing a short article about it right now. Since I am a 7D user, I've got a little insight

Thanks for posting the link. I can see why I wouldn't have noticed the problem now that I've seen it. If it's that hard to see even with a plain blue sky as the background, well, I'm not sure how anyone caught it. However, it is obviously a problem that needs to be addressed and I hope there's a fix for it soon.

Please add your link as a comment at the end of my article. That's the best place for it.

    Thanks-

Oh boy. What's wrong with people these days? Could you have simply said: "Yes, I sure have" or "Ooops, I've missed that one." Why do people become so suspicious of everything these days, eh?

No, I was not implying that you were pretending anything. Yes, I'm a bit suprised that you did not know about that thread or nobody had told you about it as I assumed you likely would have spent time on the net doing some digging since you use a 7D and you're a web guy. Apparently, you had not and my assumption was wrong.

Personally, I think the problem was probably discovered when they were processing their images, adjusting brightness, contrast, etc. and then noticed something strange.

AgingEyes, it did come off to me a bit sarcastic so I understand why John took it that way.

Well, I guess it goes both ways. You could have just posted the link. I apologize for misunderstanding your meaning. And if you haven't yet, please do post that link in the article comments. I would like it to be included and I think it would be better if you posted it, since you're the one who found it

Guess it's the problem of written communication then.

Actually, I didn't know there was a "comment" section below your article and so I posted here.

I apologize for misunderstanding your meaning.
I probably should have worded my response better. Sorry for the trouble.

So true, context can be lost sometimes without the tone of a spoken word or gesture of body language.
