    Need help Speedlite EX550

    I have a Canon 20D and a Speedlite EX550. I am so disappointed - When I mounted the flash on the camera it would not come on. I changed batteries and nothing. Problem solved - corrosion in the battery compartment!

    Found out what my problem is - Corrosion in battery compartment.

    It's happened to me once before. Lesson learned, store the AAs outside the flash when not in use.
