Met This Guy On The Trail

First time I've seen a tarantula in Utah. He wasn't moving very quickly as it's getting a bit cold now. Photo was taken with my new Canon EOS 7D. This is the first photo posted from the camera

For those who want to see every creepy, nasty hair on this critter, I uploaded a full-resolution version on the gallery: http://gallery.photographyreview.com...&size=big&cat=

    Looks like a big one!

Nice detail. Please don't tempt me into upgrading when I have no plans to do so

Unless I hear reports that the 7D is a greater improvement over the 50D than the 50D was over the 40D, I'm staying put for now.

Besides, I think I'm over my initial infatuation with birds. At least until the spring migration returns

You're in trouble, then. You know I upgraded from the 40D to the 50D and didn't really feel I gained much at all. That is not at all the case with the 7D. Auto focus seems to be significantly better - especially in AI Servo mode. And I'm comfortably shooting a lot of ISO 800 action shots. This camera is sweet!

    Sorry

Sorry, but it's really tough to compliment a photo of the nastiest looking creature on this earth. That one would have looked better not so sharp. Ewww.
