    Safe!

Took my daughter on a ballpark tour as a graduation present and got this shot in wrigley. Love the faces in the backround.

    All critiques welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Safe!

I enjoyed looking at people's reactions on the stands. I'm not much of a sports photographer. it looks fine to me. but , i think what makes this image for me is the tens of different expressions of people

I agree! Also not much for sports photography, but this has a real Norman Rockwell feel to it. everything from the guy in the suit eating popcorn to the woman clapping to the guys standing up to get a better look - the fans make this shot!

    Re: Safe!

I was hoping to get the play, with a wide enough DOF to get people's reactions. It's one of those shots where what I wnated to do I not only acheive but it actually seems to work..

    Thanks fot the kind comments.

    Re: Safe!

If the folks in the stands are the true subject I think you could crop all the grass out of the foreground.
    No, I DON'T need that.

This is good, Len. I like the expressions on the crowds faces and your focusing on them makes this work real well. It is about the fans in the stands. Perhaps cropping half of the green in the fg will emphasize this even further. I like this.
Good work in giving us another side to sports photography.

    Re: Safe!

The one thing that bothered me with the first picture was the ladies hands hanging out of the frame at the top of the photo. But you fixed it with the second edit. Very good....

I haven't been around here much lately but what a cool surprise to check in and see you got a sticky. It's well-deserved ... I remember being mesmerized by the crowd when you posted in that, um, other place.

Nice! I don't think the sports part is spectacular, but the faces .. wow, they are great. A lot to look at and I feel the energy ~~

    Re: Safe!

congrats on the sticky! and I like the 2nd version. It moved the empire a bit in to the frame and brought back that great guy on the left side that looks shocked.

    Congrats on the feature.
I also like the second edit the best.
What really caught my eye was the girl in the white shirt doing the field goal thing.
