Shasta daisy, I think. But I'm no expert either. I really love this.

    Re: Colorless flower

I thought I posted on this the other day. I know I said flowers don't always lend themselves to b/w but in this case you did an excellent conversion with great detail and sharpness throughout.
I don't think its a shasta daisy with the color bleeding into the petals like that.
    What color is it?

    Re: Colorless flower

It reminds me of those orangey ones with the black on the inner petals. LOL, I'm not good at ID'ing flowers.

As I said on the N&W board, this is just an outstanding shot.

I think it can. I believe I've read somewhere long ago that: "Photography is about light, shape, and form." And: "Color is for painting; black and white is for photography." After all, photography started in black and white

    What color is it?
    Yellow. Like sunflower yellow.

Thanks for the nice comments, folks !

    Re: Colorless flower

Very nice, I do think this is a "Black eyed susan" as Cara described. They are yellow with black centers.
I like the detail and tight crop here. The subject is also isolated well from any distractions. Very nice!

I really like the detail in this picture, shows the Fibonacci series beautifully.

    Excellent work.
