Love the colour. It's a car grill, right? Or a motorcycle? Ummm, yeah I'm a girl and don't have a clue.

Why is the upper right corner black? Is that a feature of the car (I'm going with car!)? To me it doesn't help distinguish it or add to the pic at all.

The reflection in the chrome is great!

(I could be talking rubbish though 'cause I know very little and even less about cars!!)

For me, leave it uncropped. It's stunning.

    I really like it...
The cloudless sky make for perfect gradation in the reflection on the bumper.

    Give it a few tries.

I like the cropped one better. I especially like that in the lower right hand corner you can see the sun and some of the ground refelcted too. The blue reflection is very cool, but having it not be ALL blue reflection adds to it I think.

    What is vivid mode?

I'm going to sound like I'm waffling here but seeing both shots, I do prefer the first tightly cropped one. The second one is just a nice shot of a car to me. In the first, the reflection in the bumper is much more prominent whereas it gets lost in the bigger image. And the blue is more striking in the first image.

So sorry if I made you doubt the first one. It is brilliant!

Thanks everyone for the feedback..much appreciated

-gracie, Vivid mode is a in-camera picture control.Enhanced contrast, saturation. I really wanted to get the "blue hour" point across...I guess.

    Rick,

Nice shot - talking about the tight crop of course. I love the colours and the reflections. I wish someone would clean my car this well

Have you thought of using Didache's abstract technique on this could be excellent.

    Thank you Rodger,
How do I find this technique you speak of ? Is it in a thread posting... I'll try it!

Definitely like the cropped shot. I think the oversaturated color works really well too. I could almost see that framed on a wall in either a bachelor pad or a "guy room".
