    Bees and Beetles

Plenty of bees around the Rose of Sharon and the hostas today. And while I was looking for bees, I found beetle to boot.

Nice shots Cara, I like the lighting in the first one especially.

They're all very nice. I'm envious...my rose of sharon isn't blooming yet!

I like the second shot over the first only because it's just a touch sharper. Nice work all around though!

    Re: Bees and Beetles

    Thanks everyone!

Mimi, our rose of sharon was so heavy with blooms that half of it split off the other day! Of course it doesn't help that we never pruned it and it was growing WAY too large.

Thankfully the other half of it is doing fine. We're going to see if we can trim it back in the fall without killing it.
