No skill.. Just point the camera up, click. Great light, color though. :O)

Here is all the skill I could come up with.
    Keep shooting!

Well you managed not to load the tree leaves with "purple fringe" chromatic aberrations so there's some skill there! Range of color is good, composition isn't horrible, good range of color tones. My difficulty is lack of interesting subject matter (and I don't particularly care for the con-trail either).

hm... no skill? just pointing camera up and click? well... since i found/shot that picture in the middle of the woods on a mountain, I thought it was pretty... even thought I didn't edit it on photoshop, fix or crop does that mean no skill? Thought a creative eye was a skill of its own... i sometimes wish photoshop was not invented, then photography would simply depend on a creative eye, point, and then click. ? maybe i am mistaken? hmmm. thanks for the input though.

Wonderful colours / framing, and I have to say I really like Rick's crop.

I also agree with jetrim, particularly about the contrail, which I personally think is somewhat distracting.

If the sun had "exploded" into individual rays of light accross the frame, it would probably make for an even better picture. Quite nice work, though.
