    Smile Rainy City Days

I am not sure why, but as soon as I leaned over a 2nd window to take this shot, I fell in love. Something about the shot makes you feel lazy, maybe relaxed? Which is what a rainy day is all about (most of the time). What do you think?

I can see why you like this,You captured the mood for sure. The composition works for me.

I find the three black powerlines to be a major distraction, some clone tool work could fix that. The left corner of the brick building looks muddy..underexposed? Maybe a straight B&W or desaturate a bit,try to sharpen this as your final edit.
Just my thoughts.Maybe others will offer suggestions?

I like this one too. The power lines don't bother me, in fact I like the water droplets forming underneath. I would use "clarify" at a setting of maybe 3 or possibly even a high pass overlay to bring out the details a little better (including the raindrops across the building face). Well spotted

Some more editing as suggested above and you'll have another to put on your wall.

thanks! but... im young and learning, and im not too great with photoshop! i find it hard to figure out by myself, which kind of makes photography intimidating... so that being said, what is the 'clarify' setting? and a high pass overlay? haha you are speaking greek to me thanks for the help and suggestions!!
oh and I too like the powerlines... not sure if theyre a distraction, I look right past them at first glance... and yes I too think the water droplets from the lines are neat.

OK sorry to speak over your head. Clarify is a function that adds contrast, but not straight across the board as when you adjust using the contrast function, it is more like a bell curve where it adds more to the highest highlights and darkest shadows than to the midrange tones. High Pass is a way to sharpen ONLY the highlights, which would make the raindrops "pop" off the screen a bit more.

I hope you don't mind (I'll remove if you do) here is your photo after "Clarify" function has been used on it - notice the boost to overall detail, and absence of that "muddiness at lower left:
