    A game of a lifetime!

My son has had a really great season pitching this year. Right now his college is in the final four for the league championship.

The last three days they've had games and he's pitched in each and everyone of those games. He's a starter, but they switched things up and had him coming in as relief. He has been mowing down the other teams and today was truly a game of a lifetime.

This is a shot I got of him (took 800 in 3 innings) after he struck out the last batter for the win. For me all of the great baseball pics will never mean to me what this one does. He's quiet, humble and never talks about his successes let alone displays emotion on the mound. Game was over so I guess it was ok. Hee!

I also have to brag that he has a nice LOI laying on my kitchen counter, another on the way and two more verbals.

Thanks for letting me share even though I haven't been around much.

    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.

A great shot together with a mother's pride! It's always a moment that catches the emotion that makes for the greatest shots. When you know most (all) of the kids and one or all of them pull off something spectacular it's very hard sometimes for me to keep a professional composure. When that kid is yours, I'm sure it goes out the window. Nice work, great shot, and sounds like a great season for him. Thanks for sharing and good to hear you're still doing well.

A truly magic moment shot JETA. I know you will treasure it along with the other 299 from those three innings. So great to here about the big wins but even better to hear about those LOI laying around waiting for a decision. So good to hear from you again I have been wondering how the season has gone. Don't be a stranger.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Thanks Daniel.

Usually during his games I never utter a yay. Out of my four kids he's most like me. Quiet. I think I screamed enough for everyone after the game. It was crazy and funny now looking back at it. So you are correct. In this case it did go out the window! lol

    Thanks again.

Thanks OT! This pic I'll treasure like no other.

It's going to be interesting to see where my son lands. It will be as close as 40 minutes from home or as far as Missouri and even possibly Indiana.

Sorry I haven't been around much. I try and pop in from time to time to check on Greg McCary and post a bit. I really miss my sport buddies here.

I really have to second what OT said, this is just one of those shots that you both will later look back on and cherish. Wonderful shot JETA.

I like it, crisp, well separated from the background, good light, bright yellow to catch the eye.

The only thing I'd change is photoshop out the black fuzzy thing behind his leg, and in front of him below the arm. After I get over looking at him, it attracts attention. Which is a shame because the light on his arm muscles is fantastic.

    Thank you Homer and SW.

SW, at first I thought you meant his mit. Now I see what you are talking about.

I'm going to ps it now. You've got a good eye because I never noticed it. Then again, I'm so used to the garbage bg of baseball maybe that's why. lol

    Ah yes, much cleaner looking.
Nice attention to detail on the bottom of the mitt.
Do you like the difference ?

Yes, I like the difference very much!!

What's interesting to me is I'm not sure I would have noticed it until you pointed it out. Then I compare the two and the second one looks so much better!

    Thank YOU!

What an awesome moment and what an awesome capture. A once in a life time moment caught on "film".

Besides that, it is a great pic. Clear, sharp and colors are great.

    Way to go.....
