    Out for a stroll...

    Greetings,

This was a comedy of errors but I did manage a capture

Imagine this, the grouse is on one side of a willow, the dog is about ten feet closer to me but on the other side. There is a squirrel running across the driveway on the other side of the tree.

    Nobody notices anyone else...

The camera is on a tripod about eight feet away from the front door. I make a dash for it, set up at the door. Wouldn't you know it, because of the angle, the bar between the top glass and the bottom screen is right in the middle of the frame.

Quickly raise the camera, I'm on my tip toes and as I frame the shot realize the tripod legs aren't set right and I'm wobbling..

I did manage to get a shot but the grouse soon turned his back to me and although he hung around for the better part of an hour, he was either behind branches or in the shade...

    Cheers, Don

"Workin' for it" makes it even more worthwhile.

    Congrats.
Walk softly and carry a big lens.

    Nice shot!

Definitely not a "yard bird" in my parts
