    The Chair

Taken at another derelict lunatic asylum in the uk.

Was hoping to capture a dark moody atmosphere yet highlight slightly the comode.

Very creepy indeed! You have also managed to keep the light from the window under control - that could very easily have been burned out more than it is. It all looks a tad soft, but that could be the resizing. Did you use a tripod? Where is this place?

    Cheers

    Re: The Chair

Definitely creepy! I like the colors and composition, and as already mentioned, the lighting is really nice. The windows aren't blown out, yet the inside of the building is nicely lit as well.

Well done. Very stark and tells a slightly sinister story...

Another powerful image from this location and I agree that you did a great job not letting the light from the window overpower the shot.

Can you bring up a little detail and brightness in the right hand corner above the doorway? My eye keeps getting stuck in this location.

    Re: The Chair

This is creepy, which I like anyway, and vey good overall. I like the composition and the subject including the interior of the room with its crumbling condition and bits of color scattered about.
You did a nice job in post processing to equalize and control the overall lighting.
Its a very fine shot of an eerie scene.

    Congrats on the sticky.
I like this shot a lot but wish the chair weren't in such a dominant position in the frame.

Thanks for all the comments fellas, and another sticky :blush2: what can I say..........

Did not realise so many of you appreciated this type of photography, I have a massive collection of shots from old asylums, more modern hospitals and industrial buildings, this is what I like taking photos of

Doesn't look HDR'd to me. Too good for that.
