    The nifty fifty tribute thread

I thought that since we had the beercan tribute thread, might as well have one dedicated to the nifty fifty, seeing as how its the only other lens as common as the beercan.

Any iteration of the 50 applies, 1.4/1.7/2.8 (All of mine, of course, the 1.7)

    And please post metering values!

    This is at 1/125, f/2.8, ISO 200

Hmm.. Ya know, I just don't have many shots with my 50mm. I love the thing but it barely gets any camera time with my 16-80 and 28-75 f/2.8 taking precedence. I kinda like the idea of having threads for our most popular lenses though. We have the beercan thread and now the nifty fifty. Hmm.. What do we choose next?

    100mm macro?

and wow! I am surprised you don't use it more often, it is by far my most commonly used one. Maybe my new 28-75 will take its place.

Hmm... Trying to see what I have sitting around from my 50mm, and only came up with my m42 50mm, Asahi Super Takumar lens... It's pretty nifty, and it's a 50mm!

f1.4.... 1/15 ISO 320... Pretty sure I shot raw then tried to adjust WB and dumped it to JPG..

And I'll do a second vote for the 100mm Macro, since I have one and use it occasionally...
