    No Always So Close

    Wow! Everybody's shooting flowers now.
    Remember, using a macro isn't always about getting as close as posible.
    Sometimes, it's about the bokeh.
    On the first day over 70 around here, I found this weed growing under the bushes.
    Love the sparkle in the highlights.

    K200 D FA 100 macro
    Manfrotto tripod.......way down low
    my neck still hurts from trying to focus on the bugger

    I agree about not always getting close, indeed with flowers I believe bokeh is everything. I buy my wife flowers every couple of months just so I can take pics lol.

    I like this one and it is from a long way off, not macro by any means.

    Nice shot and the background certainly makes the shot. I like the looks of this cropped a little from the top to just above the main specular highlights.
