    Gorillapod in action

Remember from the PMA coverage, they were putting out Gorillapods on the stairs?
I don't think they lasted until the doors opened, in fact they were being taken even before they put the cameras on them!

So I decided to try one out, on the steering wheel (while parked of course) for the flag shot, and clamped to the sunshade for videoing the strip.
Yes I know the video comes out upside down, either you can all hold your monitors the other way up, do handstands, move to Australia ... or I can quickly flip it 180 degrees in the video editor

    Re: Gorillapod in action

Paul .. the number of times I have been tempted to get a gorillapod! (the slr version) What do you think of them? I am thinking mainly for my travels, when I don't bring a tripod along.

Good, but you must get a ball head for it.
They've recognised that and their latest version has a hall bead.
Without that head, you will be messing around for ages trying to get the shot level
I'm using a cheap cullmann head and it works well.
You might want a quick release though, and their head has a plastic one.
    I photographed it at PMA ... http://gallery.photographyreview.com...123396&cat=558
