It is an adorable dog. I do wish her side wasn't so blown out and her other eye was a little more lit..... do you mind if I play with it at all?

I like how it fills the frame except where its paws go off frame. The light issues mentioned above are also true but so what.....its your cute pup and you love it ...right?

    Chow,

Please do what you can to help me see how your ideals will help the picture.

Thanks Chow, Ambrya and Frog. I do have to say that I was on the floor and she started off farther away and crawled closer ever few shots or when I was trying to get the shot. Also that the light from the right is the window from the other room.

Frog yes I do love it.

for me the biggest issues is with the light. The only other thing that comes to mind is that I can't pinpoint a spot that I feel is completely in focus. Could be my eyes, or the compression used to post it up on the web.

    Re: My Puppy

Hey James.... I did a fairly quick edit on your pup..... I did it in photoshop.... sharpened and brightened the eyes, balanced the highlights and shadows out a little with layers and added an overall contrast..... what do you think?? I know I could have done a much better job if I, 1 had the original, and 2 was able to take more time to mess with it(sorry kids decided they need me to do other things lol) But hopefully this can give you some ideas? Super cute pup by the way.....

    Re: My Puppy

Chow. I think the sharpening and toning down of the light made a huge difference. A++

    Re: My Puppy

Chow, thanks for posting the picture and showing what can be done with it. I do appreciate it.

Leels, thanks. She was just in one of those moods and sat still long enough for the picture and was back playing again.

Thanks again for the comments and I will try again with more lighting. But not today as it is SNOWING....

    James
