    LOST! Canon Powershot A640

I bought this camera back in 2006 for a cruise to Alaska, took great pictures, but I haven't used it much since then. Just the usual family shots.

I went to a concert at Universal Studios, tried to take photos at night of parade and concert, they cam e out VERY grainy. ANy help.

I leave in 5 days for a cruise to the Mexican Riviera and want to get the best shots. ANY suggestions as to what I should set my camera to? I would appreciate and all all thoughts on this.

    Thanks
    Sherrie

Night photos, I'd expect to be grainy.
But are they more grainy than you've got before in similar conditions?
    Can you post samples?

If you want to reset everything to default settings, check page 25 of the manual http://software.canon-europe.com/fil.../ADVCUG_EN.pdf

I don't have any to upload at this moment, but it seems when I take pictures at night they don't come out well. These pictures were taken with zoom fully extended. I am leaving for a cruise on Saturday to the Mexican Riviera and want to get the best photos there, night time included. Not sure what setting I should be on. Any thoughts??/

Too late now, but when I return I ma finding a class to take...lol
    Thanks for you help
