    Firebush

Kind of a cool little native wildflower. Is the DoF and comp OK? I never know with flowers :blush2:

Looks a little out of focus, or to little is in focus for my eye. Maybe it is because of how small the open bloom is vs the rest of the picture.

I agree with tay. It does look out of focus jet. The comp. and the colours are effective but the focus throws this one off for me.

Gorgeous colors and nice composition -- but I too would like to see more DOF. Don't take this wrong -- but your struggle here makes me feel a little better about my struggle to get it. Somebody recently posted the shooting flowers is not as easy as you would think -- nice to hear that from you experts -- wait a minute...

Could have been better if more of the flower was in focus. The actual shot is great however love the position and colours, though looks like a touch too much boost (at least on my screen). S

Thanks everyone, this was one of those "marginal" shots I wasn't sure on. Not a big deal to reshoot, I know where it lives

Go back to it's home, get it in focus, and you've got yourself a lovely picture.

    P.S. That's a really cool plant
