    A bit of brake line...

    ...from a bicycle (I think). I found that if I take the 50mm lens off my old Minolta SRT 101 and hold up to the little zoom on my Kodak Easyshare 4MP P-n-S, I could get really close. REALLY close.

    That's a good abstract and your experiment with the lens sure paid off.
    I prefer the b/w but both are very nice with perfect focus and dof.
    Maybe could use a hair of sharpening?

    Cool effect! For me the color image works best. The lines are simple. The B&W is too busy and I find the large border distracting.
    Too bad all the people who know how to run this country are busy running taxicabs or cutting hair.
