The white balance and focus seem a bit off in all three.

#1) You cut off his feet!!!

#2) Not bad but I wish his head was turned a bit more towards the camera.

#3) Likely the best of the set. You can see all of him including his face, there is lots of detail and the background isn't distracting at all (although I do wonder why someone would be playing at the beach in that cold weather).
    No, I DON'T need that.

    40 views and no comments??

For me, the vast expanse of sky and the flying dude is a distraction. I would crop out the person on the left and much of the sky.

Your focus is best in pic 2 and if I could see his eyes, I would have liked it much better.

I like your composition best in pic 3 (even though some might say he is too centered), but again, I want to see eyes! and a richer sky would be nice.

Your son is a good-looking guy and I think if you could get a sharper focus on his face, it would make an okay pic much better.

    Just my rookie two cents...

That happens occasionally. When it happened to me I didn't know whether it was a case of nothing bad to say or nothing good to say.

I agree with pretty much everything MB and Shebang have already pointed out. #2 would've been the runaway winner had he been facing the camera, even partially. Skin looks possibly a bit overexposed. And I'm not sure about the cut-off headstock.
