Magic mushrooms revisited, now with stems!

I never really looked at the rest of the mushroom shots from before Christmas, at the time I just randomly picked one that I liked. One of the points brought up at the time was that the bottom mushrooms were missing half the stem. Well, here they're not! Finally had time to take a closer look in that folder and there was some nice ones there I'd "never" seen. I've decided I really like that frog perpective (thanks Dylan and Alex ), even if it does mean public embarrasment and additional laundry (I must get one of those all-in-one cold weather suits that my daughter wears for kindergarten )

Thanks! I was really lucky with the light, with this one beam of sunlight hitting just the right tree in the right place! So no flash necessary!

    Here's another one, I've decided that I like, taken a bit closer-up.

Really nice. Wonder how the mushrooms lasted so long... usually they disappear in a matter of days...

Composition-wise, you're fine. I think you could bump up the contrast a bit.

    Good work.

    Hi Alex,

We obviously cross-posted there!!! Just added another one for you

I'm sure those particular mushrroms are well-gone, it's just the folder I re-visited - at the time with Christmas and all, I never really looked at those shots, just picked out a couple for PR but knew there was a few other nice ones.

I understand now, these are some of the older batch. Both very nice, love the detail in #2.

    Thanks

#1 is actually quite different from the one I posted a month ago, a more head-on shot, no flash (same goes for #2), so more variation in shadow/highlight as well as more depth of colour.
