Olympus stylus 1010 - yellowish cast

Regarding Olympus stylus 1010: When looking in the viewfinder (the lcd screen) everything looks yellowish, but the picure I take looks pretty well color-balanced. This is on either the Auto or the other mode (the one that looks like an outline of a camera). I have
not adjusted the white balance. Is my camera defective?

I could be the WB is off when looking at the LCD. Does it do it outside as well as inside?

Believe it or not, I have not tried it outside yet. Is there another WB test I cold use indoor that could give some kins of conclusive proof? I guess this symptom isn't normal for this camera.

What kind of lighting are you using? Incandescent shows MUCH differently than fluorescent or even halogen through the LCD. I agree, it's a WB thing.

Does this happen in "P" mode? What mode are you shooting in?
