    Foggy landscape

Another one from my recent trip up north, but a landscape this time. This is looking out from the top of a ridge over the valley, where you can see Mankinholes (near) and Todmorden (far). All I've done in post is to crop slightly, top and bottom.

    Thanks

I've noticed that fog doesn't always translate well in photos. My first thought when I opened this page was that you took this through a helicopter window or something.

I think cropping some of the top and some from the left would help.

Yes, Like that. It takes the horizon out of the center.

I think the crop works a lot better. I would also sharpen it a bit.

Looks like the English countryside alright, with the dark greens and gently rolling hills.

Unfortunately the pleasant pastures of England aren't half as interesting to photograph as lots of the stuff posted by people around the world. We drew the short straw on awe inspiring geography, I guess. Maybe a trip to Wales is in order

My bet is, there are 100+ awe inspiring photos waiting to be taken, right in that little valley shown I was once told by a highly accomplished pro that you are never more than 25ft from an award winning photo, your job is to find it

There were actually quite a few places I wanted to go just for the photo oppurtunity, but the trip was too busy and short...
    I'm trying, I'm learning
