    Shotgun Shack

Abandoned barn near Santa Cruz,ca along PCH1. I shot a bunch at this location...I didn't want to flood the forums with graffitti. C & C welcome. Larger res. version in my gallery.

    Thanks.

I like the composition of the second one best. The first, to my amateure eyes, seems to disjointed and my eye cannot move smoothly from one place to another.
The second has promininent line leading into and through the picture to the background.
Can you get there with better light?

    Hi Rick,
I like the view of the distant sea through the door and windoes of the shack.

Rick, the second edit with tired eyes(done that) has more subdued colors but seems to have a bit of a blueish cast....not much but a bit.
I think it may be a good candidate for black snd white.

I would still try and crush the blacks and put a slight dutch angle on the picture. The grass isn't interesting, too much grass takes away from the photo. Make sure to look at the lines in the photo and use them to cause movement. I bumped up the contrast and cropped slightly.

I like the second one and as yoyo said the sea through the window and missing siding is cool. I'd like to see a shot closer to the window and the missing siding shooting through to the view of the ocean in the distance using only the window as the frame of reference.
