Cant post pics in my posts

I know there are tons of threads on this subject, and I read them, no luck!!
Here is what I am doing:
I am trying to post pics on my posts.
I clicked on "attach files" under my post.
I click on browse and open a pic file from my hard drive (I have tried jpeg and bitmap).
I clicked "upload" and keep getting an error!!
My pic size is only 240.
I am using Windows Vista.

Any suggestions?

You should be able to post up to 800 on a side. Seems like you are doing it right.

Yeah, it's weird, I post pics on other forums, no problem.

"attach files"? You mean the 'upload photos' button.? What does the error say? - TF

Yes, I mean upload.
It says: Upload errors - "upload to file failed"

I have tried bitmap, TIFF, and jpeg, no luck.
I have even downrezed it to almost nothing, still no luck!

I just tried a few: If it is too large (> 800 in one direction), the error tells you this. If the file is too large (> 293KB), it also tells you this. The only way I could get your error was with the wrong file type. Are you sure it was a jpg? Could it be another type that just had the file name extension changed to jpg? - TF

Yep, I tried jpg, but I was only looking at the overall file size, which was < 300 because
I kept shrinking it!!
I will try again and make sure all directions are <800.
Since this forum is the same as others that I am a member of, I never have problems

Nat's, you may want to try using the windows power toy re-sizer. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/D...powertoys.mspx

It always works for me even though I usually re-size in photoshop.
Scroll down til u find it and the download is on the right.
Then when you right click a pic, an option for re-sizing will be in the list...click it and for here you can pick medium.
This doesn't explain why you are having problems otherwise but it might help.

testing the upload option. I have been using [img\img] tags from my flickr account, didn't even know about the upload from computer option.

The first file I tried failed, no reason given. This is the 2nd try - let's see if it works.
