In all truthfulness you edit Former Best Buy Employee, does not really look like it did Saturday morning. I'm sorry but it doesn't have the deep orange and looks too pink.
The sun came up almost all the way down the right side of the mountain. And I needed more dynamic range to get a better photo and the white balance is a little of in my original.

Out of curiosity, what makes you think the colours are destroyed? If that's what the camera has captured, then they are the original colours. The camera can't destroy them.
Like anyone else though, I enjoy looking at fantastic sky's and sunsets/sunrises and love seeing the deep blues and pinks that you can get.
