    More Backyard Friends...

    It was 7F this morning during the 'golden hour' so my backyard was as far as I ventured. - TF

    1 - Tree Sparrow
    2 - Another Squirrel
    3 - Female Cardinal
    4 - Male Cardinal

    EDIT: Replaced #1 - removed the red cast from the background. - TF

    Great shooting on all, and a male cardinal sure contrasts against white snow!:thumbsup:

    Not sure – but I think I’ve maybe seen that same squirrel before in one of your posts here at N&W… is it a regular to your back yard feeders?

    There are at least four black phase, 11 gray phase and one 'between' that frequent the feeders. Only two that I think I can pick out - the 'between' and one gray that has very big white tufts on his ears. – TF

    Thank you. I usually have 4-6 tree sparrows at my feeders over the winter. Now if I could just find a way to limit the 2-3 dozen house sparrows, they might actually get some food. - TF

    I stopped feeding winter birds because of the house sparrows. I was scared I might keep a bird around and the 30-50 house sparrows would clean out my feeder too fast and starve the good birds.
