    Celtic Cross

I am new to this forum so I thought I would introduce my photographic self first. I started with a cheap digital Kodak point&shoot in 2004, then about 20 months ago I bought a Sony H9 advanced P&S before going on a cruise. I loved the features, but after a while the problems and shortfalls got to be too much. A month ago I bought my first SLR camera, a Canon 40D with a Sigma 18-200 lens. This was one of my first adventures with the camera.

Great exposure results from your new equipment, my only nitpik is that I'd like to see more at the bottom of your picture, it looks a bit cut off there.

Otherwise, I say welcome and keep 'em coming!

I do like the second picture more. It has that "extra" to it, which adds so much more to the photo.

    Welcome to the PR

Welcome to the forum and PR, you'll have a blast here if you want.
I like the colors on #2, looks great with that big old tree in the background. I go every now and then to cemeteries to capture a few shots as well. The branches top left are a bit distracting in #2 otherwise keep it up look forward to seeing more. Cheers S.

Welcome ashrael. It looks like you have a good eye for composition and detail, and good ops, as this place has wonderful potential. I wonder what the bottom one would look like if shot when it was darker and then a low intensity flash/strobe to lighting up the foreground, though not too much. Creepy maybe!
