    Turn around and fly

    Here's my experience with hawks:

They see you -> they turn around ->they fly away.

    No exception yet :mad2:

Is this a juvy cooper's hawk that was leaving me or just some juvy red-tail hawk?

    Something eles?

    Beautiful bird

To me, it seems like all birds fly away when they see me

By the way, that looks like a bird on a wire!

Looks like an inmature Red-Tailed hawk to me.

Great catch, love the "aggressive about to hunt" look and also the way the feet are just lifting off the wire. The only thing that could perhaps be better is a not-so-white sky.

    Nice shot!

I chased one halfway to Dyersburg AR one day trying to get a good shot. The hawk would let me get close and just as I was about to shoot it would fly off to the next telephone pole, totally teasing me for what felt like miles. Little bastard.:mad2:

Happened to me once but fortunately only for about a block and it flew away.

Have you noticed they always fly away from you just to make sure you don't get any good shots? I wonder what they're afraid of. I know I know, we are the predators (I didn't think of us that way until that raptor trainer told me that time). But, they have to realize it is just my camera

As for the sky, it was pretty much like that even if you looked at it that day with your naked eyes. It was a cloudy morning.

Thanks for the comments, guys !
