    New Camera Reviewer

Meet Calanan, our newest reviewer. He's a professional photographer and Nikon shooter here in Salt Lake City. He is working on our Nikon D90 review.

And in an incredible bit of irony, this photo was taken with the new Canon EOS 50D, which I recently bought. I shot it at ISO 2500 and I've posted a full-resolution version in my gallery.

    Welcome Calanan!

I'll be keeping an eye out for when the pro review is ready - since I'm somewhat interested in the D90.

Welcome aboard Calanan. Can't wait to see your reviews!

On a side note, that is a crazy picture, ISO 2500?!?!? It's amazing...

    Welcome

It's interesting to see a real-life test picture rather than a testing chart. The small image you posted looks very good but when you look at the full-size image it's not quite so impressive. And you have some purple fringing on the left hand side where his shirt is brightly illuminated. You shot this at 1/20s f10 on a 28mm?

I'm bursting to use my new gear but last weekend the weather was miserable and you can't do photos in the shopping malls. Plus I went out dancing a lot - my other passion.
