    Tidal Basin Fall

The colors aren't really all that great this year but if you get there on a nice calm morning just when the first rays of the sun blast across the basin......

MB you OWN that tidal basin. Great shots esp # 1 but they may be a little over saturated. I may also do some slight cropping of the left side on each. Great timing and eye.

I'm amazed at what you say aren't great colors.
Can't decide between the two but I like how you used the branches to frame the scene,.

I said WOW out loud when I opened this! Not what I was expecting, its beautiful. The first one is just stunning. If those colors are not great, I cant imagine what it looks like when they are......

Very lovely colours and framing here MB. Also love the way the walkway curves to the monument as though to point to it in a creative way. Also love how u've captured the blue in the sky and orange in the horizon both above and in the reflection. Usually the reflection skies tend to be much more blue for some reason. good stuff.

Actually the leaves this year are much more brown than red thanks to a very dry October after a very wet year. I knew though that right at first light and with that calm water reflecting additional light everything would have an intense glow.

If you go by there any other time of day it is pretty dull.
