    Mushrooms!

I have been working on a kind of "self-assignment" for the last couple weeks:

    Photographing mushrooms.

Comments & suggestions welcomed, as always.

Photo #5 I posted recently in another thread of this forum, some of you may remember it.

    Re: Mushrooms!

Nice photo's I think the first needs a touch of PP to make it pop.

I agree the last is the best of the bunch but they could all be in a magazine or book on fungi. Now the question is can you ID then and if edible did you eat them?

    Thanks for the reply, Roger.

I GIMPED the first a little, but it might need a bit more as you say.

About ID 'ing - I don't know what specific kind they are, but will make sure to look them up. (I don't think these are edible).

    Thanks for the comment, Paul.

That last image was the one I spent more time out in the field with, and earned myself two very numb feet for crouching down so long!

I have searched and searched for the identity of these mushrooms - but with no luck.

    Robusto’s mushrooms

I like the 2nd one more, too. With the first, the camera focused on the leaves instead of on the mushrooms.

Next time, also remember to take pictures from as many different perspectives as possible – examples would be some of mine here in this thread:

#4. I set the camera gently on the ground to capture a shot from a different viewpoint, since not very many people normally see mushrooms from below!

#5. This one is actually on the side of a moss-covered tree, looking up. (The larger mushroom was about 7mm diameter).
