My first competition

And I got 2nd place!

It was the monthly in-house competition on this Danish "Birds and Nature" site that I've joined in the hope of learning a bit more about my local wildlife. The theme was "Autumn" and the competition started on the 1st of October and ended 2 days ago and the photo had to be taken during that period. What a pity, my squirrel was taken a day too early, and of course I don't cheat! Anyway, the photo below is the one I submitted under the title "When one leaf says it all...". Then everybody had 24 hours to vote, directly in a thread so you could see what everybody had voted!!! 3 points to the best, 2 points to second best and 3 points to third best. There was 37 photos and this being my first ever competition, I'm feeling quite chuffed with myself! And no, there was no prizes...Except that the winner gets to organise the next competition, so I'm quite glad that I didn't win LOL

Thanks guys! But can't rest on my laurels...next competition has already kicked off tonight, "Leaves in Colour", just the right time, they look fantastic now but they'll be gone all too soon...
