I was surprised to seem them out in the harbour, I've always associated them with the ploughed fields near home. But they were out there feeding in large numbers.

Nothing closer, there's no access to the birds without wading, swimming, or a boat.
None of which I was equipped for.

Only a 300mm f/2.8 and 1.4x on 1DmkIIN
Definitely this location needs a longer lens, or a boat and hide.

Those are some awesome looking birds. Too bad about no access, but there is always the fields
