    Reflecting Pools

The pools at the base of Great Fountain Geyser YNP. Set up and watched this geyser for almost 2 hours hoping for an eruption...at least it was a good sunset.

Beautiful colors. I wonder what would happen if you cut a slither off the top...I don't really mind the comp though.

Very beautiful. I agree with F-15 a touch off of the top.

    Re: Reflecting Pools

Lovely color and scene. I agree about a little off the top. What I really think could improve the overall perspective would have been to be at a higher vantage point. Standing on a rock or a ladder would give a deeper view to this already wonderful scene.
    Nice.

    Re: Reflecting Pools

I get the feeling that this is trying to slip forward out of the picture, it feels tilted towards the front of the photo, then I realise its a wide angle effect but it keeps putting me off. I agree with Gary in that this could have been overcome from a higher view point.

Perhaps a little pp to correct this is in order.

Lovely scene wish I was there.

Spectacular photo and much deserved recognition. Colors are perfect, I really like the reflection; patience is a virtue. Nicely done!

    Re: Reflecting Pools

Thanks for the comments and the featured photo. I will be back and shoot this again. I live about 4 hours from the park and have vowed to get there more often. I guess I should take a ladder with me
