    Early Fall Hike

Did a little hike in Little Cottonwood Canyon on Saturday. Fall is starting to creep in at the higher altitudes. It's not so hot and some color is just starting to appear. There wasn't really enough color for photos yet where we were. But it sure was pretty. And you can feel the leaves trying to change. Every day now there will be a little more color on the oaks and maples, and soon the aspens will turn yellow. The Wasatch are beautiful in the fall.

    Aspens

Aspens have to be one of the prettiest trees on earth.

    Jenni's New Camera

Jenni liked the Olympus Stylus 1030 SW I recently reviewed so she got the less expensive Olympus Stylus 850 SW. So far so good and she's definitely having fun with it.

Beautiful shots, John. I've been itching to get back into the mountains lately, because I didn't get to do a backpacking trip this summer. I really need to move north.

I think it's actually supposed to be one of the best in the country right now. No kidding. Might be worth taking a look if you really want to be in the mountains. I don't think there's another real city in the US, except maybe Reno, that offers the kind of mountain access we have.

I can believe it. I noticed there was a lot of development when I was there. There was construction everywhere I looked.

I do really wish I lived in or near the mountains, but I'm not sure about moving that far away from my family. I've been thinking about it more and more lately, but I don't know. I need to look for a job, so guess I'll just see what I find and then decide. I'll definitely consider SLC.
