    Roll over

I had 2 roll overs in one night - first my odometer, luckily I was sitting at a stoplight with my D70s sitting next to me when it lined up just right

Then when I got home I realized the same night my D70s rolled over its 10,000th image! I haven't owned it through all those images but its still kinda a cool coincidence

Anyone else wanna share a roll over or a car mileage?

    Re: Roll over

Congrats on the roll overs Rick. Back when I was in high school I put a ton of miles on my dads little pick up truck. A buddy of mine made a stencil with the name of the truck and 100,000 miles. When the truck rolled over, I got out and used the stencil to paint the info on the road. It has since been seal coated over several times.

I rolled my Harley over to 30,000 miles a couple weeks ago.

My truck, 1991 Ford F150, has well over 200,000 miles on it now, but I don't know how many. The speedometer and odometer stopped working almost 2 years ago with 196,000 miles.

Very cool shot of the lightning Rick!

    Re: Roll over

Hey thanks! I think I remember a shot of that F150 of yours. Didn't you replace it with an Exterra or something?

This little truck still runs like a top. Speaking of odometers though, my speedometer runs about 10% fast so I think that means my mileage is an overestimate too!

    Re: Roll over

Yup, I think I did post a pic of my truck a while back. Replace? NEVER! We did by a Pathfinder last spring because my wife didn't think my truck was going to last much longer. I got all the bugs worked out of it, and it's still my main 4 wheeled vehicle. This summer I have been driving my Harley more than anything so the Ford hasn't seen much road time. As for the Pathfinder, it doesn't get driven much at all, but it's nice to have when I do need it. I would be surprised if I have put 1000 miles on it this year.

    Re: Roll over

Why break in the new car when the old feels like a nice old pair of underwear

I might try and sell this truck when I'm done being a carpenter, so I can downgrade to something with better gas economy. I will miss being able to offroad during all my wild photo adventures though!

    Re: Roll over

I would have a similar one with my car, but the odometer stopped working

But here's one from my bike.

    Re: Roll over

My car hit 90k the other day, just getting broken in... I had it (VW Jetta TDI) worked on by a guy who specializes in that car a few months ago. The other guy who was there only had about 67k on his '97 which I thought was surprising, because people who buy TDI's usually put a lot of miles on them. Turns out the odometer on the '97's rolls over at 300k...
