The color in the face is interesting. It looks like you colored a black and white print. It has a retro look.

In both the face color just seems wrong to me.
I think this photo would look good converted to b/w

I agree the face looks odd. Maybe drop the reds a touch and clear it up.

I like the second color edit the best. I miss the colors of the cars in the B&W. The blurring is a bit much. Can you turn that down? If you have lightroom you might try the aged photo pre-set. That would work here, maybe a little vignetting to go with it? The composition is very good. How did you blur it? I also think you should crop a little off of the top.

    Greg,
I don't have lightroom...but, from what I hear it's the Shiznit! I used a primitive arcsoft smudge tool...I'm finding out the limitations of Capture NX...real quick. I'll be looking into purchasing lightroom...soon. Are there multiple versions? Curious.

    Dana,
    Thank you.I appreciate your feedback.

I think there is a new version of Lightroom out. But there is some great blurring tools in Photoshop. I use PS 7. You should be able to pick a used copy up on E-bay for a good price.
Can you send me the original and let me play with it?

Re: Rebel with a cause II

Looks more smeared than blurred, I think with a lot of editing work the background could be retouched to make this a great image.
I far prefer the colour version.

Re: Rebel with a cause II

I vote for the B&W. The colors in the original post seem off. The blur attempt seems to have returned something here, perhaps a different background, but it doesn't make the shot better IMO. Nothing wrong with experimentation, though!
