    Re: Hungry Hungry Mantis

Thanks for the replies Eric and Mike! I have had her now for a few weeks. A guy at work caught her and I asked to borrow her for a while. Fun to watch them hunt and then eat.

    Re: Hungry Hungry Mantis

She was enjoying another cricket - seems to like them. This one I let her out then let her dinner go. She was quite fast keeping up with her meal. The kid enjoyed watching her hunt down her meal and eat too.

Thanks for the comments - used the 90mm and off camera light.

WOW - An honor to be chosen for featured photo. I don't know if its as worthy as some of the other amazing photos put up here on a daily basis - But I thank those in charge of deciding this!

I have gotten alot of great info from here and owe alot of my rising success in producing more "great" shots to the great people of this forum!

Black Moor - Thanks - I was quite pleased with this one - took about 10 - 15 shots and liked the shadow and the antennae placements in this one..

Photo Kap - Thanks for the comment - yes they are amazing when they hunt and eat. Nice they don't move much once they have gotten their meal..
