    Rick,

This is a good shot! Well executed use of the curves.

It could be a be brightened as it appears to be slightly underexposed. Contrast adjustment or brightening might really make the lines of the railings, overhead pergola, and the verticals just pop.

A slightly lower angle or camera position could produce an even more abstract photo as it would lessen the building on the horizon and the open area between the curved rail and the glass dome.

I'll have to be sure to look at additional images in the gallery!

    Thanks Chris,
Great feedback, tips. It will be easy to stop by this location again...it's a gold mine of captures with all the angles.
I might add that the critique of this image as presented is an excellent learning opportunity, best of any I have received.Much appreciated.

    Rick,

For me there is something wrong but I can't explain what at the moment.

What I'm thinking is that this may be better as a square crop or move the horizon away from the centre line as it seems to cut the photo in two parts, sky and the rest.

I would definately go back and look for different angles as it looks like a terrific location.

Nice work Rick. I agree a slight contrast boost and sharpening will really help a great picture.

A polarizer to deepen the blue of the sky is my suggestion

Love the angles, curves, and lines.

I like the composition and agree with Mr Y that the sky could be bluer,

    Rick,

I like the shot, and have one myself that is almost, nearly identical. My son lives in SJ (I will be there the weekend of the 13th) and visit these buildings on occasion for their great photo ops. Nice shot.
