    Dragonflies Everywhere!

The most abundant creatures by far right now.

The first three are of the same specimen on the same weed. Laying flat on my stomach, army-crawled for different backgrounds.

All with the 5D and 300mm f/4L IS and extension tubes (mostly just the 36mm tube). The last one with all three tubes stacked together (68mm of total extension).

Loupey, have you changed your style? It seems to me the colors of your recent photos are not as saturated as before.

    Re: Dragonflies Everywhere!

Cassie - I appreciate your comments, as always!

AE - I hope not But changed laptops recently and it has me rattled. So much so that I'm second guessing every image I do and I spend 2 days redoing all the images on my website last week.

Request to everyone: please see my updated website - if images there seem "off", let me know. It would be greatly appreciated!

Loupey - I have looked at your website and I must say your photography is amazing.

I looked at all the different sets of images and the colour looks perfect to me on my monitor. I even looked at some of your older threads against the images on your website and the colours seem exactly the same to me.

Wonderful series Loupey. Your website photo look fine for colour to me. I think the series of dragonfly shots here look less saturated simply because the backgrounds are soft pastel shades.

Amazing, I love being able to see the face of a Dragon Fly. Nice work!!

The backgrounds work very well to enhance the overall image too.
Please ask before editing my photos, I'll say yes

I like to take the pictures...

    Re: Dragonflies Everywhere!

Cassie & scott-devon - thank you both so much for taking the time to review my site. I'm very appreciative of your efforts and feedback! I'm relegated to doing all my final post-processing work in only one office room. The interior colors/lighting at home or anywhere else tends to make the colors shift during my PPing and unnoticeable until I get to "that" room.

dumpy - thanks for the kind words.

scott-devon - I think you are correct regarding the effect of the lighter background. Here is a shot with a different background but with the same processing done at the same time. Incidentally it is of the same dragonfly as in #1, #2, and #3 - but as I originally found it on another weed before I frightened it off to where you saw it in the original post.

    Re: Dragonflies Everywhere!

One of my last shots from that particular day. My son was not happy to hear later that I did not save it. It stopped moving soon after I took this.

Loupey - That's exactly what I thought. I really like the darker background in your latest image, it makes the dragonfly stand out more.
