Utah & meeting The Captain of the ship

I had a quick trip to Utah over the weekend and had a chance to meet Photo John for a few hours of conversation and dinner. It's all ways nice to meet and chat with like minded folks!
Shot one is the hotel we were put up in and # 2 is PJ & Jimmy B

Looking good there guys! This is the picture you and I missed when we got together. Glad you and PJ were able to get one. Did you get PJ out there shooting vehicles with motors Jimmy?
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Thanks, Jimmy!

I love meeting people from the community! And Jimmy is a super nice guy with a really cool job. He did not get me out to the track, Larry. Maybe next year. I've been really busy and felt like I needed to ride my bike to keep my head straight. But I realize what a great opportunity I passed up and hope to get out there next year. And I'm also hoping to get Jimmy to stay for an extra day and go for a ride or hike with me when he comes back. The mountains here are the best!

It's sort of a tradition now. So here's my crappy photo of Jimmy eating

An interesting sidenote - this is one of the first photos I've processed with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2. I only used Photoshop to resize, sharpen, and add my logo. I used the sweet new Lightroom 2 Graduated Filter tool to lighten Jimmy up and keep the highlights in the foreground.

PJ is from Salt Lake and lives there. I was in Utah for a car race in Tooela @ Miller Motorsports Park. The hotel is the radison by the SLC airport.

    spiraleyes-
I live in Murray. I'm not really from here, although I've got some roots in Utah. I've lived here for a bit over a year. Not planning to leave, though :-)

We should get together to take some pictures! There are a few of us here and it would be nice to meet up in person every once in a while. I like having things be a little more personal than just the forums.

PJ...Too bad you couldn't make Moab. We had quite a time.:mad2:
    1. Almost lost the Hummer over the edge on the White Rim Trail.
    2. First time in years, I had to pull a handgun out of a holster...just in case. Didn't need it; the possible threat went away.:mad2:
    3. Ran Moab Rim Trail...never do that again. (At least till next year.)
    4. Pulled a Jeep Rubicon out a ditch ...he returned the favor two days later (see 1 above).:mad2:
    5. Got a close up view of Moab Fireworks.
    6. Never even had a Morgans Rum.

We should talk a bit about living in and around SLC in the next year. I'm looking seriously into moving there or Alba-Kirk-E. (Like my phonetic spelling for Albuquerque. )
