#1 seems a bit too contrasty. I have no nitpicks other than that. Nice series.

    Thanks.

Yeah, I know. But it is actually the best I could get from it. The sun was too hard... But I think that the motive is too good to just throw the picture away.

    Re: norwegian countryside

I like 3..I think u should tilt it a bit to the left, using the fence post as a level... and if it was mine I would layer the sky and darken a bit for a nice contrast to the horse.
Please ask to edit photos and I'll do the same!
    Thx, Rod

    Re: norwegian countryside

As much as I like b&w sometimes I feel that these would probably be better in color. However if you are up to trying some bw and there are clouds like this, try a red filter and/or a polarizer to make the sky really dark and the clouds stand out against them. My favorite is the cow by the way ... seems like a bull here.

    Re: norwegian countryside

    Maybe they're a bit pale?

I took these photos on an assignment I got from a company that wants to decorate their offices. My older b&w photos are a bit dark and gloomy, and they said that they didn't want them like that.

But I think I may have been a bit too careful with the contrast, so the pictures have turned out somewhat lifeless. I'm going to go over them again and see if they're better with more contrast, which I think they will be.

    Anyone agree?

    Re: norwegian countryside

I like all of these and feel they are contrasty enough. 1,3, and 5 are perhaps my favs of the bunch. With 4, I think you should crop from the right side just to eliminate that bush and then a sliver from the bottom and top.
    Good compositions and interesting perspectives
