    Balloon

    Hey this is the first post of what i hope to be many on the forum.I have a lot of photos i have taken over the years and have not really shared with anyone but friends.I would love some of your thoughts on my work to date .This photos is taken in a hotel beside my house in France. i shot it on a nikon d300 just before dusk.

    I like this shot. But I'd probably crop the black part on the bottom off, and clone the spot on the right of the balloon out.

    I think it is a wonderful shot. You might try and pull some more color and detail from the sky, but nice as is.

    Welcome to the forums. I really like the ballon above the expansive landscape. Gives me a good idea of what the balloonists see.
    The color and light of the landscape are very nice and I wish the sky equaled it.
    Get rid of that sensor dust spot and see what you can do with the sky.

    I agree with everyone about the sensor spot. I like the vertical crop. Nice work, and welcome.

    As Frog said, I too like the expansive landscape and sky giving us a feel for what they might be seeing looking down. The edits help, although maybe too much orange going on in the lower sky.
