    Re: calm water reflection

One of the best of yours I've seen, polarbear!
The composition is good, the reflection is awesome.
Get rid of that power pole and lines. Also there's a little square thing on the right in that clear space under the tree. If you get rid of them on top, don't forget to get rid of them on the bottom too.
I wish the real sky was as dark as the reflected sky.

    Love all those greens!

    Re: calm water reflection

    Not a bad little spot,

    Some comments:

    - I'd make the waterline level. Even if this only seems to be tilted by the geometry of the land, it also seems like a mistake, so would be better if level to the viewer.

    - To me the real photo is the reflection. The actual area isn't as interesting, and the telephone pole isn't as obvious in the reflection. I would consider cropping out most if not all of the land part and just stick with the reflection !

    - Bump in the contrast a bit, seems a tad flat.

thanks for viewing your right about the reflection its funny how it doesn't show the power line, hadn't noticed before, wasn't too sure about the reflection part either, small movement in the water makes the reflection look so fakey, but i'm still pleased with the final outcome shot all images vertical with the camera, visually being there, looked like a keeper.

You could clone out that power line or even crop below the tops of the trees. The weakest point in the photo is the sky and tree tops in my opinion.

It seems awfully green to me. Like there's a color cast to it. I like the composition and all, but I'm having a hard time with the greenness of it.

Nice! I really like water/lake/river pics. This one looks like you shot on a very calm day. It gives me that spring presummer feel.

I agree tho the line and pole need to go, other then that great job
