Water fall

Went for a hike yesterday at Ohiopyle (in south west PA).

was with a group so no animal shots etc (although i did find a black rat snake).

The lighting on these where really tricky, had to wait for clouds to cover up some sun spots and what not. the 3rd is my favorite

Re: Water fall

what stunning photos!! I love your work! the lighting is perfect, and the slow shutter speeds sure do add to the softness of the water,, good work!!!!!

Re: Water fall

these are great. The lighting in the first 2 is a bit harsh in some areas, but that last one is great. I would love to see images taken there on a dark dreary day!

Re: Water fall

thanks everyone, yeah there are a few blown highlights in the water in the first two. i may try to get back down there sometime, and hopefully the lighting it better. there was also a really cool looking waterfall but it barely had any water in it, so i'd like to hit that whit a lot of water to.

Re: Water fall

I like #2 best. Great angle and composition.

I think the brighter sky in the middle top adds to the effect of the breaking weather.

Re: Water fall

I definately understand the issues with scenes like these and wasn't trying to be harsh in any way.
