Maybe a tigher crop from the left? It's definitely not a bad shot, but the top left corner drags my eyes away from the kite.
I wish I could be more constructive, but I can't find the words at the moment.

George Zimbel: Digital diahhrea is a disease for which there is a simple cure. Take one frame of a scene. It is exquisite training for your eye and your brain. Try it for a month. Then try it for another month…then try it for another month…..
This is very pretty but the pink clouds to me takes away from the red kite - it doesnt pop out as much as it would if it was on blue or white background I wonder if you were to make the lightest part of the cloud true white - the other pinks would be much more subtle. the pink sky is very cool, but takes away from the kite.
AE - Good placement in the frame. The background is nice, but I think it would work better with a sailboat or a stronger subject, sort of like a supplement. Sharp image btw

I also would like to see the kite pop. Honestly, I didn't know what I was looking at at first. All the colors blend well and look beautiful - I knew I wanted to feel something looking at your image, but it took me time to adjust. Maybe if you could tighten the shot in closer? Though I am a sucker for sky shots. I just think it may help draw attention to the kite as it deserves. Cat -

You saw what you saw. If you see the sky, clouds, colors, the kite...that's good enough. If this provokes some feeling in you, even better ;-) It is a simple image.
If I wanted the viewer focus on the kite alone, I think I would have zoomed in on it
