    Re: Tea Party

So nice to meet you, heather!
First shot has too many hot and washed out places.
I like the composition and pose.

second is again well composed and I like the little girl's pose here too but it is too bright for my taste.
    Keep Shooting!

Cute photo, but I would have liked to see brighter colors too. Did you take it that way or did you edit it later?

Thanks its good to meet you. I did wash out the picture. I like to desaturate the picture and then paint colors on top. For some reason I like to paint reds and greens. I've noticed that this is quite the trend lately, especially amoung moms.

    Re: Tea Party

Although I am not much a fan of deasturated images I do like the first one just fine.

I think the impact of both images could be enhanced by a bit of cropping. In the first image I'd crop about half of the frame space above her head away-it doesn't add anything to the overall image.

In the second image I think that the subject is too close to the center of the frame. I'd crop most of the left of the image away leaving her near the left edge of the frame looking in the direction of the remaining frame space.
    No, I DON'T need that.

I like the wash effect on the first one, could also be interesting in B&W. The second shot could have been interesting if you used the rail as the line for the shot, e.g. taking the shot to the right of the girl, nearly parallel with the hand rail.

Please don't edit and re-post or use my images (not that you'd want to anyway...). without my written permission. Thank you

I just started photography 3 months ago and I learned today about the rule of thirds. Thanks, I should crop it.

I think you should add some saturation and contrast. The composition is perfect in my book. You are off to a good start and came to the right place. Welcome. I hope to see more.
